BP inks Aker frame agreement

Published

Aker Solutions has secured a framework agreement to provide engineering, modifications and maintenance services for BP-operated oil and gas fields offshore Norway.

The two-year contract is valued at a maximum NOK1.8 billion, with options to extend the work by up to four years. The agreement starts on 1 June 2014, following the expiration of an existing framework contract for similar services.

The agreement is for work on the Ula, Tambar, Hod, Skarv, and Valhall fields. The scope includes studies, maintenance and modification project work as well as preparation work for decommissioning offshore Norway.

Aker Solutions has worked with BP in Norway for more than 20 and signed the first long-term framework agreement contract of this type with BP in 1999.
