The contract enters into force immediately, and will be renewed on a yearly basis until eventual termination.

“It's always difficult to land contracts with new customers. For this reason we are very pleased with the confidence Marathon Oil is placing in us,” says Trond Aunan, VP Studies and FEED in maintenence, modifications and operations with Aibel.

The framework agreement will be managed from Aibel's headquarters in Stavanger. It is also here work on the specific projects in the contract will be carried out.

The Alvheim project will occupy around 15 Aibel employees in Stavanger. The study kicks off in mid-August this year with an expected delivery in October/November 2014.
