Autronica snags Johan Sverdrup contract

Autronica Fire and Security has announced that Statoil has selected the Autro Safe integrated fire and gas detection system for operations in the Johan Sverdrup oil field in the North Sea. 

As part of the four-year framework agreement, Autronica will provide Autro Safe fire and gas detection systems to Statoil’s offshore installations in the oil field. The agreement includes options for two plus two years and for supplying systems to the nearby Johan Castberg, Peregrino and Snorre fields. Installation of the detection systems will begin in early 2016.

Autronica, a provider in safety solutions for the marine and oil and gas segment, is a part of UTC building and industrial systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp.
