Wintershall to use iQx at Maria

Published

Germany’s Wintershall will use AGR’s well data management and analysis software tool iQˣ for its Maria field on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).

iQˣ is designed to optimize well performance and drilling management by providing a data and knowledge management platform. The tool already holds automatically structured and quality checked well data for all publically available wells on the NCS. The software also has data from over 78,000 well locations worldwide.

AGR says that the tool is constantly updated with public information and can be programmed to process individual company’s data from any industry recognized reporting system or real time data source. The software currently has three modules – experiences, offset data, TIME and GEO to display and analyze data from the drilling unit.

“Our developers and the dedicated team at Wintershall will look into transferring the logging and drilling data to our platform and create working processes that will push the digitalization of well data management within the organization,” says Petter Mathisen, VP of Software Solutions at AGR.

Wintershall is the latest company to adopt iQx joining VNG, Lundin, OMV, AKER BP and LUKOIL Overseas North Shelf.

AGR Software recently entered a strategic alliance with Norwegian technology contractors to drive digitalization of the oil and gas industry. The collaboration will result in extended version of iQx enabling automated execution of end of well reports.
