COSCO Orders New Semi-Sub Vessel from Chinese Shipyards

COSCO Shipping Specialized Carriers has placed an order for a next generation semi-submersible vessel to Chinese shipyards.

COSCO will build the vessel in partnership with China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation and Guangzhou Shipbuilding International.

The 70,000 dwt DP2 semi-submersible vessel is expected to be delivered in the first quarter of 2027.
