Huadian Wins OWF Contract

China-based engineering solutions giant Huadian Heavy Industries (HHI) has secured a deal as the turnkey contractor at Binhai Smart Wind Power’s 300MW Binhai South offshore wind farm in China.

HHI will act as the project's main contractor in the 1.656 billion yuan (US$235million) offshore work.

The main engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor for the construction and installation of a series of offshore wind farm facilities and equipment would be HHI.

HHI said its scope includes manufacturing and installation of 75 monopiles as well as a foundation for the offshore substation.

The Binhai South H3 project is positioned 36 km of the coast of Binhai, located within the Chinese province of Jiangsu.
