Providence begins Drombeg seismic

Ireland’s Providence Resources announced Monday that 3D seismic survey operations have begun on its Drombeg oil prospect in the southern Porcupine basin, off southwest Ireland.

The Lower Cretaceous Drombeg prospect is in the FEL 2/14 license area,  about 135 miles off the west coast of Ireland.

The license is operated by Providence who holds an 80% stake.

Sosina Exploration holds the remaining 20%.

Providence has agreed to acquire 422sq mi of 3D seismic data over Drombeg.

Th data is being collected by Polarcus MC as part of a multi-client survey.
