InterMoor, an Acteon company, opened a major new storage, maintenance and inspection facility in Aberdeen, UK. The new base will support InterMoor’s global mooring operations with a focus on Europe, Africa and Asia.

“The new location will help us to increase productivity and efficiency by having all of our assets stored in a single location,” says Frank Burns, general manager, InterMoor Ltd. “For customers, the key benefits will be the option to conduct inspections onsite and store equipment at a harbor facility to help ensure speedy mobilization.”

The new facility is designed for onsite inspection and testing of wire and anchors.  On a three-acre site, the Aberdeen facility will enable storage and maintenance of InterMoor and client equipment. The new base, within the Aberdeen harbor zone, offers modern equipment storage close to all of Aberdeen’s vessel berths.

Earlier this year, InterMoor completed decommissioning operations of the Innovator platform in Gomez field, Mississippi Canyon Block 711, Gulf of Mexico.
