Acteon finalizes UTEC acquisition

Acteon Group Ltd. has acquired UTEC, a specialist provider of offshore survey services to the worldwide oil & gas industry.

UTEC offers a complete range of marine survey services, from pre-engineering geophysical, geotechnical and metocean services to construction support in the yard to lay and post-lay operations, along with industrial measurement, all using the most advanced equipment and techniques.

Established in 2006 and headquartered in Houston, Texas, UTEC employs more than 365 personnel at its facilities in Australia, Canada, Italy, Singapore, the UAE, and the UK. UTEC is a portfolio company of Lime Rock Partners.

Acteon is a global oilfield service provider, specializing in subsea services, equipment and engineering solutions for all phases of field operations from exploration through to decommissioning.

Simmons & Company International Ltd. served as exclusive corporate finance advisor to the shareholders of UTEC International Ltd.
