Fire control and safety solutions firm Blaze Manufacturing Solutions has launched its new flexible pipe solution and announced a strategic partnership with a Norwegian firm at this year’s ONS Exhibition and Conference in Stavanger, Norway.

The partnership will see Blaze collaborating with mechanical and hydraulic assembly and maintenance firm Vinje Industri to create a supply channel to the Norwegian Sector and offer fire protection solutions, including the FLEX-FLO modular system for the construction of flexible piping solutions, to the onshore and offshore market.

The new product, launched today at the show, is an enhancement of the firm’s Flameshield 300 flexible deluge pipework.

Incorporating patent pending technology, FLEX-FLO has been developed primarily for firewater deluge in asset life extension (ALE) and decommissioning projects, as well as new build or existing oil and gas production, chemical processing, vessels, drilling and well test heat shielding applications.

Blaze says it is a low maintenance, corrosion free flexible pipework solution, is quick to install, does not require production shutdown to construct, and provides flexibility when alterations are required.

Colin Black, international manager at Blaze, said: “It is well documented that UK Continental Shelf operating costs need to reduce, yet safety levels must be maintained or even increased. The implementation of Flameshield 300 was a game changer when first installed, however clients now require even greater savings and safety enhancements. Procurement departments would request a price per foot type quote to compare alternatives, yet we felt we could add so much more value to the client in so many ways.”

Blaze is exhibiting on the Aberdeen City & Shire / Scottish Development International pavilion (Hall 5 / Stand 5310).
