Tamar jacket delivery

Published

Rotterdam-based transporter Fairmount Marine delivered Noble’s Tamar jacket to the eastern Mediterranean last month. The 18,500ton jacket was built in Corpus Christi, Texas, and traveled 9000 miles from the US on Heerema Marine Contractor’s H851 barge towed by Fairmount Marine’s tugs, Fairmount Summit and Fairmount Alpine. The voyage took 54 days, averaging a speed of 6.9 knots. Fairmount Summit and Fairmount Alpine assisted with launching and installation activities once the jacket reached its destination, Noble’s Tamar gas field southeast of Cyprus.
