Robbins & Meyers brands join NOV Mono

Houston-based National Oilwell Varco (NOV) is to pay $2.5 billion for Robbins & Myers – a supplier of well-drilling equipment parts, including valve controls and grinders – adding three more businesses to its NOV Mono division: Moyno Inc., Chemineer Inc., and Tarby Inc. The three brands make NOV the largest designer and manufacturer of progressing cavity pumps.

NOV Mono Senior VP, Santosh Mathilakath, said that the acquisition of these companies represents a new force in the industrial pump arena, creating growth opportunities and faster response times for consumers.

“The combination of these businesses creates a platform for significant growth,” said Mathilakath.

  • Springfield, Ohio-based Moyno, is a manufacturer of progressing cavity pumps, sludge pumps, metering pumps, sanitary pumps, mag-drive pumps, multiphase fluids transfer systems and grinders.
  •  Dayton, Ohio-based Chemineer, is a provider of mixing technology and manufacturer of quality equipment for fluid agitation applications.
  • Claremore, Oklahoma-based Tarby, is amanufacturer of progressing cavity replacement part and pumps.

NOV Mono also designs and manufactures associated industrial products including grinders, screens, mixers, parts and packaged solutions. 

Parent company NOV Inc. designs, manufactures and sells equipment and components used in oil and gas drilling and production operations, as well as, the provision of oilfield services, and supply chain integration services to the upstream oil and gas industry.
