MacGregor has won a contract to deliver a comprehensive set of cranes to a new vessel under construction at the long-established Canadian shipyard, Chantier Davie Canada Inc.

The vessel is scheduled for delivery by the end of Spring 2015.

The vessel is the first in a series of dynamically positioned offshore accommodation and construction vessels, sleeping up to 400 passengers in a high-quality live/work environment. It comes with an active heave compensated gangway and a variety of subsea and topside construction equipment.

The MacGregor package comprises three cranes: a 250-tonne SWL active heave-compensated (AHC) subsea crane; a 20-tonne SWL offshore crane; and a 5-tonne SWL shipboard crane.

Chantier Davie is one of the largest shipbuilders in North America and has delivered over 700 vessels and mobile offshore drilling units to clients globally.
