Ulstein unveils Island Performer

Ulstein provides this video on the development of Island Offshore's latest vessel the Island Performer. The newbuild is a flexible, riserless light weight intervention (RLWI), and inspection, maintanence and repair (IMR) vessel built by the Ulstein Verft shipyard. The vessel measures 130m in length with a 25m beam. It has capcity for 150 people, and comes equipped with a 250-tonne active heave compensated offshore crane with a below-deck winch, two deep-sea work ROVs. It was annnounced on 8 July 2014, that the Island Performer had been delivered to Island Offshore. The vessel will now begin a five-year contract with FTO Services, a joint venture between FMC Technologies and Edison Chouest Offshore, in the Gulf of Mexico.
