Aker Solutions has established a subsea lifecycle service base in Labuan, Malaysia, to support installed and future Asia Pacific shallow and deepwater projects, starting with Murphy Sabah Oil's current Kikeh and upcoming Kikeh phase two and Siakap developments which have an anticipated 20-plus years' field life. Dave Hutchinson, regional head of Aker Solutions' subsea business, officiated at last month's opening ceremony.
