Harkand has been awarded a contract to support Apache's North Sea business with inspection, repair and maintenance work (IRM) as well as light construction (LC).
The award includes provision of vessels, ROV and diving services for three years, with two one-year options.
Harkand will also support offshore marine construction contractor EMAS AMC, which has been awarded a separate contract for pipelay and heavy construction with Apache.
Harkand Europe managing director, David Kerr, said: “Having both the Harkand Atlantis and the Harkand Da Vinci dive support vessels in the North Sea provides Apache with the flexibility they require. Harkand provides offshore vessels, ROVs, diving, survey services, project management and engineering to the oil and gas and renewables industries.
Sister vessels, the Harkand Da Vinci and Harkand Atlantis feature 18-man saturation diving systems. The 115.4m-long vessels can accommodate 120 personnel, have 140-tonne active heave compensated main cranes and Super Mohawk ROV spreads.
