EMGS gets first job in Thailand

Published

Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA (EMGS) is making its entrance into Thailand after receiving a US$7 million letter of intent for 3D EM data acquisition in Thailand and Myanmar.

The survey will be done using the vessel BOA Thalassa and is expected to begin directly after the ongoing survey in Malaysia is completed.

The awarding company is unnamed, however, EMGS says this is the first time the company will operate for this customer.

Earlier this month, EMGS announced it received the first of several new projects in Asia and anticipate to keep one vessel operating in the region for most or all of 2015.
