Vallourec Star gets safety award

Vallourec Star was recognized for excellence in safety at the Muskogee City-County Port Authority annual Business and Industry Awards for reaching a 60% reduction in no-lost-time injuries from the previous year.

Vallourec Star partnered with Indian Capital Technology Center (ICTC) to provide 2600 hours of safety training in 2014 for more than 150 ICTC employees.

ICTC nominated Vallourec Star, and acknowledges the company’s culture of safety, stating:  “They have incorporated safety into every business process and decision. They actively seek input and feedback from all team members and implement and maintain a continuous improvement-based occupational safety and health management system.”
