Talisman gets Snømus approval

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway granted Talisman Energy Norge AS consent for exploration drilling of well 15/12-24 at the Snømus prospect.

The well is located in production license 672, in block 15/12 in the central North Sea.

The well will be drilled by the Mærsk Giant jackup mobile drilling facility.

Talisman is the operator for production license 672.

Last week, Talisman Energy shareholders approved Repsol to take over Talisman in an overwhelming vote of more than 99% approval. The deal is estimated to be US$8.3 billion.
