eInfochips accelerates image processing with NVIDIA GPUs

Published

eInfochips’ seismic imaging solution software achieved a 25x performance gain on a GPU-accelerated system, compared to a standard CPU-based system.

The company says that this solution for Kirchoff seismic imaging algorithms will provide geoscientists with improved confidence in their drilling decisions while interpreting data processed from large exploration surveys. eInfochips developers achieved this performance increase using high-performance NVIDIA Tesla K40 GPU accelerators.

"Parallel programming is an art, mastered over multiple code migration projects,” says Parag Mehta, eInfochips chief marketing and business development officer. “Our team of parallel programming experts has codified the leading practices with a mature checklist to achieve the maximum performance on NVIDIA GPU accelerators."
