HTC hosts Deepwater Technology Symposium

The Houston Technology Center (HTC) will hold its Deepwater Technology Symposium on 23 October from 7-10am at its main campus, located at 410 Pierce St. in Houston.

During the three-part symposium, four speakers will discuss technology, long-term trends, and challenges associated with ultra deepwater developments.

Also featured will be a discussion of the advances made in the areas of subsea field design architecture, SURF, and robotics.

FMC Technologies, Deepstar, a joint industry technology development project focusing on deepwater technology, and deepwater technology producer GMC Ltd. are sponsors of the event. A representative of each company will also be delivering a talk at the symposium. 

The speaker line-up is:

·         Deepstar Director Greg Kusinski

·         FMC Technologies Emerging Technology Director Brian Skeels

·         GMC Ltd. Founder Denis Riordan

·         FMC Schilling Robotics President Tyler Schilling

The Deepwater Technology Symposium is also supported by Norton Rose Fulbright and Andrew Kurth LLP.

Forbes selected HTC as one of the “Twelve Business Incubators Changing the World” in 2013 and one of the "Ten Technology Incubators Changing the World" in 2011. As a 501(c)(3) organization, HTC says it is “the largest technology business incubator and accelerator in Texas,” and aims to advance the commercialization of emerging technology companies in the greater Houston area.
