Craig Group chairman and managing director Douglas Craig reported ‘steady growth’ in 2011 across all its divisions. The Aberdeen headquartered, family-run shipping and energy services firm reported turnover of £111.9 million (up from £92 million the previous year), with operating profits up £3 million to £13 million. The bulk of the group’s £16.4 million capital expenditure in the year went on the continued modernisation of North Star Shipping’s fleet of emergency response and rescue vessels. Four newbuild ERR Vs are due to be delivered this year.
