Craig Group chairman and managing director Douglas Craig reported ‘steady growth’ in 2011 across all its divisions. The Aberdeen headquartered, family-run shipping and energy services firm reported turnover of £111.9 million (up from £92 million the previous year), with operating profits up £3 million to £13 million. The bulk of the group’s £16.4 million capital expenditure in the year went on the continued modernisation of North Star Shipping’s fleet of emergency response and rescue vessels.
