The OOS Tiradentes (pictured at right) is a dynamically-positioned vessel, equipped with electrical driven cranes with a capacity of up to 2x 60T, and accommodation for 600 people on board. The vessel was constructed by CIMC Raffles shipyard in Yantai, China. Previously called the CR-600, OOS and CIMC Raffles on 29 December renamed the vessel after a famous Brazilian independence hero.

The vessel will join two OOS heavy lift floatels already operating in Brazil, the OOS Gretha and the OOS Prometheus.

In 2019, OOS will add to its fleet two new semisubmersible heavy lift vessels, the OOS Serooskerke and OOS Walcheren. Both vessels are under construction at Chinese shipyard China Merchants Heavy Industry.

Last month, OOS signed a memorandum of understanding to bring the OOS Zeelandia, the world’s largest semisubmersible crane vessel, to market.
