Teledyne releases CEION2, DCU4 upgrades

Teledyne Cormon, a member of Teledyne Marine that provides corrosion and erosion monitoring equipment for the oil and gas market, has recently introduced an upgrade to its signature CEION and DCU product lines.

This new range of topside transmitters and loggers is based on ER measurement principles with the CEION2 products offering both metal loss and temperature data, suitable for use in corrosion and erosion monitoring applications.  An upgrade to the microprocessor and developments on the embedded processing algorithms now provides improved resolution and temperature compensation performance.  Data can be acquired from the transmitter and output in real-time in direct engineering units, without the need for additional post-processing. The transmitter protocol can be configured to support Modbus over RS485 toallow multiple sensors to be connected on the same power and data network

In addition, the current point-to-point protocol can be configured for full backward compatibility with legacy systems.  The product range has been certified for ATEX Zone 0, IECEx, UL & CSA to allow operation in hazardous areas.

The CEION2 product line includes a Transmitter and a Logger. The Transmitter sends metal loss and temperature data in real time to operators, and the Logger will store the data within the unit for later retrieval and download.

The DCU4 product line is a lower-resolution adaptation for more economical installations, and also includes a Transmitter or a Logger configuration.
