TAM appoints new president

TAM International, Inc. has appointed Michael Machowski as the new president of the company, as former president L. Bentley Sanford moves into the position of chairman of the board

Machowski joined TAM in 2010, and has more than 40 years of domestic and international experience in the oilfield services industry.  Before joining TAM, Machowski held various management positions at companies such as Baker Hughes, Weatherford, Halliburton, and Smith.  He graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.  Previously he was chief operating officer of the company.

Sanford joined TAM in 1982, and has more than 35 years of business and management experience within the oilfield services industry.  During his tenure at TAM, Sanford has grown it to be a global leader in its business, operating in more than 20 countries with over 300 employees.  Sanford received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Trinity University in 1978 and his JD degree from South Texas College of Law in 1981.  He previously held the position of president at TAM.

“This change will allow me to concentrate my efforts in strategic areas outside of the fundamental day-to-day operations of TAM,” said Sanford.
