UK-based fluid transfer solutions firm FES International has won a contract to supply equipment to Eni's Offshore Cape Three Points (OCTP) project, 60km offshore Ghana.
The project includes the combined development of the Sankofa Main, Sankofa East, GyeNyame, Sankofa East Cenomanian and Sankofa East Campanian fields.
The fields are within the OCTP block in the Tano Basin where oil production from the project is expected to start in 2017.
The contract, which was awarded by Oceaneering International, involves the supply of a range of equipment including five diverless bend stiffener connectors (DBSC), one of the firm’s most successful lines.
The FES DBSC enables the quick, efficient and cost effective installation of bend stiffeners, which are used offshore to securely connect the umbilical’s to the floating production storage and offloading vessel.
Managing director of FES International, Rob Anderson, said: “The timescales for this project were extremely tight but we have worked closely with our well established supply chain in order to accelerate the process and achieve the customer requirements within the deadlines.
“We have worked extensively with Oceaneering in the UK and US, and continue to maintain a good relationship with the company, which is important for positioning FES International in the area.”
