Tomahawk, the latest addition to Forum Subsea Technologies’ ROV range, has been built to be fast and agile and it shares the same 35kW power system and thrusters as Forum’s largest electric vehicle, the Comanche.

It is manufactured at the Aberdeenshire facility of Sub-Atlantic.

Forum SVP Mick Jones said the Tomahawk (pictured) has been designed and built in response to customers’ needs for a ‘dependable and adaptable multi-role ROV that can deploy and operate in demanding environments’. Its open deck space and payload are supported by a large buoyancy area, providing a very stable platform, he added.

Launched at the Oceanology show in London last month, the new ROV is depth rated to 3000m and suitable for a variety of uses including survey, well intervention and drilling support.
