TechnipFMC wins Liza contract

ExxonMobil has awarded TechnipFMC a contract for the engineering, manufacture and delivery of the subsea equipment for the Liza deepwater project. The award scope includes 17 total enhanced vertical deepwater trees and associated tooling, as well as five manifolds and associated controls and tie-in equipment.

“We are committed to execution excellence and the successful long-term development of the project in Guyana,” said Hallvard Hasselknipe, president Subsea Projects, TechnipFMC.

Liza, operated by ExxonMobil subsidiary Esso Exploration and Production Guyana, is in the Stabroek block approximately 193km (120mi) offshore Guyana in waters depths of 1500m (4900ft) to 1900m (6200ft). This greenfield development has an estimated recovery in excess of 1 billion boe.

In late March, Exxon reported a new find near Liza in the southern portion of the Stabroek block, encountering more than 82ft (25m) of high-quality, oil-bearing sandstone reservoirs.
