ESEA Submarine takes on FET ROV

Forum Energy Technologies has delivered a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) to new Norwegian firm ESEA Submarine for offshore work, including inspection, survey and salvage work.

ESEA Submarine was established during 2016 by Georg Stranden, an industry veteran with more than 30 years’ experience of working with ROVs.

As well as offshore work, the Sub-Atlantic Mojave ROV will also be used by ESEA Submarine’s sister company, ESEA Marine, which works for fish farms, port authorities and insurance companies. The Mojave will also play a training role in helping ROV pilots to develop their skills.

Stranden, general manager at ESEA Submarine, said: “We see opportunities in the Norwegian inshore market and found the Mojave suitable for the purpose because it is a truly mobile system which is very powerful for its size.”

Malcolm Johnston, subsea vehicles sales manager, said: “The Mojave is a well-balanced vehicle that is highly-responsive and powerful for its size. It has a variety of tooling options which makes it an ideal fit for ESEA Submarine with the range of work it will be expected to perform.”
