IntelliServ Wired Drill Pipe (WDP) enables real-time, bi-directional data which significantly reduces time spent drilling. WDP has been used to drill over 160 plus wells across more than 1.5M feet, delivering a step change in real-time understanding of the well and drilling process. Rig time is saved as surveys, downlinks, slide orientations and other data-driven activities are performed in a manner of seconds versus minutes with conventional telemetry. Performance limiters associated with logging while drilling (LWD) data density, directional control, well placement and hole cleaning management can also be addressed with high frequency and low latency data enabling higher rates of penetration (ROP) to be achieved. By transmitting the same data required to drill a well, simply faster, drilling time can be reduced by multiple days per well.

Leon Hennessy
Business Development Manager - Asia Pacific & Middle East

Leon Hennessy is the business development manager for Asia Pacific and Middle East Regions for IntelliServ. With a career starting in drilling operations and moving through into directional drilling, Leon has hands on experience throughout the life cycle of well construction. Prior to joining NOV he founded an integrated services business providing geology, reservoir, drilling engineering, directional drilling and operations services with clients, such as Gazprom, delivering full field development programs through to running pilot drilling programs. In his role for IntelliServ Leon is focused on identifying with clients what projects present clear value with wired drill pipe through proper analysis and verification.

Brian Van Burkleo
Director of Business Development

Brian Van Burkleo is the director of business development for IntelliServ. In nine years at National Oilwell Varco, he worked as a financial analyst, led the sales team for Scandinavia, and helped found NOV’s internal coating and machining operations throughout Latin America, where he led cross-functional teams in six different countries. In his current role, Brian is responsible for the development of the global IntelliServ business and for the transition from an emerging technology into a commercial and scalable business.
