Odfjell Drilling Wins Ekofisk Gig

Norwegean offshore driller Odfjell Drilling has been awarded the contract for platform drilling and maintenance and minor modifications for ConocoPhillips offshore Norway.

The oil drilling, well service, and engineering company said that the contract work from ConocoPhillips Skandinavia AS includes drilling operations, work-over campaigns, P&A activities and all preventative and corrective maintenance of ConocoPhillips’ drilling facilities on three offshore platforms in the Greater Ekofisk Area.

The contract period is for five years, with an option to extend two times, each time by up to three years. The contract start date is estimated to the beginning of Q3 2020.

The Greater Ekofisk Area is located in the southern part of the North Sea, 300 kilometers southwest of Stavanger.

Odfjell Drilling AS provides regional drilling and well service contracting in the North Sea/ North American market as well as in other selected geographical niche areas.
