Solstad Gets New Contracts and Extension

Norwegian offshore vessel owner Solstad Offshore has secured contract awards and extensions for four platform supply vessels (PSV) in the Middle East and Mediterranean regions, as well as an extension for a construction support vessel (CSV).

Solstad Offshore has won a contract extension for its PSV Far Swan, which has been extended with 1 year and is now firm to 4Q 2021.

The vessel continues to support drilling operations in the Middle East with one of the major operators in the region. Also, the contract for the PSV Sea Spark has been extended with 6 months to July 2020 to support drilling operations in the Mediterranean.

In addition, the PSV’s Normand Surfer and Normand Supra have been contracted by Saipem, also for work in the Mediterranean. Commencement will be during December 2019 for a firm period of 60 days each.

The Norwegian contractor said that its un-named client has exercised the option to extend the present contract for its 56 percent-owned  CSV Normand Tonjer.

The extension is for 12 months to November 2020, Solstad said. In addition, the client has the option to extend the contract until September 2021.

The 95 meters long Normand Tonjer was built by Kleven in 2010 as Rem Vision and renamed following the merger of Solstad and Rem Offshore in 2016.
