New directors at Nordic Energy

North Sea focussed exploration firm Nordic Energy has taken on two industry directors as it gears up to explore offshore Denmark.

The new non-executive directors are Ian Donald and Kenneth Paul Seymour.

Donald has 30 years’ experience in the subsea and field development aspects of the offshore energy sector.

He was founder and managing director of DES Operations, which produced the patented MARS, multiple application reinjection system for enhancing oil production via pumping, metering and liquid intervention. It was later sold to oilfield services company Cameron.

Seymour is an upstream oil industry manager with over 30 years’ experience in international operations assisting clients in acquiring and developing their upstream assets.  He has had 22 years’ formal employment with quoted mature E&P companies with market caps in excess of US$1bn at companies including CNR, BP Exploration and E.ON Ruhrgas.

Rudy Kleiber, CEO of Nordic, said: “I am delighted to welcome the talents of both Ian and Ken to the Board. This is an exciting time for the Company following the recent award to NikOil, a private company owned by myself and Pat Rocholl, our CFO, of a large offshore exploration and production licence in the Danish North Sea.

"Subject to Danish Government consent, this licence will be transferred to Nordic Energy and become our first project, a major milestone for the company.  With extensive oil and gas experience behind both Ian and Ken, we look forward to working with our new Non-Executive Directors as we aim to deliver on our strategy of building and developing a multi-stage portfolio of highly prospective oil and gas assets in the Nordic region.”

Nordic also said it had appointed St Brides Media & Finance to assist it with its financial PR strategy.
