Wood Group Kenny (WGK) is to support BP's offshore Angola operations under a new engineering services contract worth US$18 million.

The contract, lasting 12 months, covers two subsea operations support scopes: one is for work associated with the Block 18 Greater Plutonio operations group; the other is for work associated with Block 31 PSVM (Plutao, Saturno, Venus and Marte fields) operations group.

The contract comes under the BP Global agreement awarded to WGK in 2007. It is in addition to the design work currently being carried out on BP’s engineering and project managemen t services (EPMS) contract for the execute phase of the BP PSVM gas export system project.

WGK engineers have also been working alongside the BP Greater Plutonio SURF (subsea, umbilical, riser and flowline) engineering team for several years.
