Middle East job for Technip

Technip has won a contract from Dubai Petroleum Establishment (DPE) for engineering, procurement, construction, and installation on the Jalilah B field development project, in 60m water depth, 90km offshore Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Technip’s work scope consists constructing and installating the Jalilah B platform, a 900-ton deck, a 500-ton jacket, and 13 new risers on existing platforms.

It also includes installating 110km of pipelines, ranging from 6-24in. in diameter. Three of Technip’s specialized vessels will be used, including the S-Lay installation vessel G1201.

Technip’s operating center in Abu Dhabi will execute the project, scheduled for completion in 2H 2014.

Vaseem Khan, Technip's Senior Vice President in the Middle East, said: "We are delighted to be awarded this new project, a few months after the successful completion of our first subsea project in the Middle East for DPE, for the South West Fateh and Falah fields."
