East Rochelle to restart

Published

Endeavour International Corp announced that the valve in the Rochelle field that had been stuck in the 'shut' position is now open, and production is expected to re-start in the next few days.

Following the tie-in of the East Rochelle E2 well, production from Rochelle could not be restarted because of a valve on the outlet side of the East Rochelle production manifold that was stuck in the 'shut' position. A dive support vessel was mobilized on 22 Feb 2014, and it was reported that the valve had been successfully opened. The East Rochelle E2 well is expected to be brought on production in the next few days, followed by the restart of production from the West Rochelle W1 well.

East Rochelle field is located in Block 15/27 of the Greater Rochelle area (production license P226) in the UK section of the North Sea. It lies about 72mi away from the UK coastline in the central North Sea.

The field is situated about 115 miles northeast of Aberdeen, Scotland, in a water depth of about 460ft.

The Rochelle field came online in October of 2013. Endeavour has a 44% working interest and the field is located in UKCS Blocks 15/26b, 15/26c and 15/27.

The area is jointly owned by Endeavour Energy (44%), operator Nexen Petroleum (41%), and Premier Oil (15%).
