KrisEnergy awards Lengo work

KrisEnergy awarded Singapore-based Synergy Engineering the front-end engineering and design (FEED) for the Lengo gas development offshore East Java, Indonesia.

The Lengo gas accumulation is located in the Bulu production sharing contract (PSC), which covers 697sq km in three separate areas: Bulu A, Bulu B, and Bulu C, over the East Java basin at 50-60m water depth.

The FEED will define the wellhead platform, export pipeline and onshore receiving facility for the ensuing engineering, procurement, construction and installation bidding phase, according to KrisEnergy.

In addition, KrisEnergy contracted Indonesia-based Java Offshore to begin the geophysical and geotechnical surveys at the platform site, as well as along the proposed platform-to-shore pipeline route and onshore receiving terminal location.

KrisEnergy says the surveys, which include a geotechnical borehole survey at the location of the production facilities, will provide important site-specific data for the next phase of engineering.

Indonesian authorities approved Lengo’s development plan in December 2014, which consists of four development wells, an unmanned wellhead platform and a 20in, 65km export pipeline to transport the gas to shore.

KrisEnergy remains in the negotiation phase over gas sales. Approximately 24 months after the joint venture partners declare final investment decision, production at Lengo is set to begin in which the field is expected to produce 70 MMcf/d at its plateau.

KrisEnergy is the operator of the Bulu PSC with 42.5% interest.  Partners include AWE (42.5%), PT Satria Energindo (10%) and PT Satria Wijayakusuma (5%).
