AtComedia launches Mexico Midstream event

AtComedia, publisher of Offshore Engineer (OE), is proud to announce the launch of Mexico Midstream Exhibition and Conference 2016 to be held in Monterrey, Mexico, on 16–18 February 2016 that brings together upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas professionals to discuss cross-border energy issues and developments. Responding to industry demand, AtComedia’s Mexico Midstream 2016 offers a forum for US and Mexico companies to build strategic relationships to ensure the efficient and economic development and production of Mexico’s wealth of energy resources.

The Secretary of Economic Development and Competitiveness for the Mexican state of Coahuila, José Antonio Gutiérrez Jardón, reports that an estimated US$64 billion will be invested in new energy developments during the next 15 years—some of which will be used to drill and frack some 8000 wells. As a result, midstream infrastructure, beginning with wellhead separation to gathering systems, gas-processing plants, transmission systems, storage facilities, contract financing and through development and operations, will be needed.

Midstream planning, development and operations affect both upstream and downstream sectors of oil and gas production and refining. Mexico Midstream 2016 will feature C-Suite Executive discussions on permitting, planning, joint ventures, development, construction, operations and other topics to ensure streamlined efforts and to avoid duplication and confusion while promoting competitive markets. Attendees will have access to question and answer sessions as well as presentations, panels, roundtables, and various networking opportunities throughout each day of the conference.

“Mexico’s midstream industry is in critical need of information, case studies and templates for best practices, technologies, suppliers, infrastructure and investment,” says AtComedia President Brion Palmer. “Mexico Midstream 2016 will provide this critical information to help operating, service and supply companies to coordinate these emerging and compelling Mexican hydrocarbon developments in a timely, cost-efficient manner to get it right the first time.”
