Alfa Laval picks up Egina gig

Heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling firm Alfa Laval has won an order to supply Framo pumping systems to Samsung Heavy Industries in South Korea for use on Total's Egina FPSO.

The order, worth about SEK 240 million, is comprised of offshore pumping systems on the FPSO, which is being built by Samsung and, once completed, will be anchored outside the Nigerian coast.

Egina is a collection of reservoirs at about 1500m water depth.

The order is Alfa Laval's first large order for offshore pumping systems after buying the Framo brand through the acquisition of Frank Mohn.
