Hummer delayed due to weather

Castex Offshore has experienced delays in its Hummer project due to recent weather events in the Gulf of Mexico, according to partner Petsec Energy.

First production, which was anticipated for late Q3 2017 in early October, has now been moved to mid- to late-November.

Setbacks for the project also include equipment delays, and the completion of the modifications to the four pile deck. The estimated date to complete construction and be ready for loadout is now mid-October, Petsec says.

The Hummer field extends over Main Pass Blocks 270, 273, and 274. The discovery well, Main Pass 270 #3 BP 1, is about 50mi southeast of Venice, Louisiana, at about 215ft water depth.
