NPD inks framework deals with 11 companies

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has signed framework agreements with 11 supplier firms representing various technology areas to ensure sufficient capacity to be an even better champion for developing new fields and improving recovery from producing fields.

The contractors will provide professional assistance within their specialty areas, and the NPD will utilize this expertise in its work to follow-up developments on the Norwegian shelf and on operational fields.

The framework agreements include (supplier award in parentheses):

  • Subsurface technology, reservoir geology and reservoir technology (AGR Petroleum Services, Ross Offshore and Larsen Reservoir)
  • Drilling and well technology (AGR Petroleum Services, Ocean Maxwell and Acona)
  • Development technology and operation of installations and facilities (Rambøll Oil & Gas, Acona and Aker Solutions)
  • Seabed technology and infrastructure (Acona, Aker Solutions and Genesis Oil and Gas Consultants Norway)
  • Land facilities, technology, infrastructure and capacities (Kværner, Aibel and Aker Solutions)
  • Disposal of facilities (Kværner, Dr Techn Olav Olsen and Genesis Oil and Gas Consultants)

The tender competition targeted external companies with relevant technical expertise. The parallel framework agreements have a duration of two years, with options for extending the agreements with one plus one year.
