ConocoPhillips to use Magseis OBS in UK North Sea

Magseis has been awarded a contract from ConocoPhillips for a full azimuth 4D seabed seismic acquisition survey in the North Sea using the company’s proprietary MASS system.

Magseis will mobilize what will be its second, ROV-based crew for the project. The duration of the contract is estimated at approximately three months inclusive of mobilization to the prospect and will start during Q2 2017.

Magseis is a Norwegian geophysical company founded in 2009. The firm's proprietary ocean bottom seismic (OBS) acquisition system allows it to operate in water depths from 0-3000m.

The firm's head office is in Lysaker, Norway; with marine operations in Bergen, Norway; sensor technology in Stockholm, Sweden; crew services in Singapore.
