Kreuz Subsea nets Indian job

Subsea contractor Kreuz Subsea has been contracted by Larsen & Toubro (L&T) to mobilize five vessels to deliver subsea completion works on India's Oil & Natural Gas Corp.'s (ONGC) pipeline replacement project (PRP4) and Daman field development, offshore India, beginning in 2018.

The contract, worth an undisclosed amount, will see Kreuz Subsea supporting L&T to install all riser clamps, risers, crossing works, tie-ins, subsea trenching and hydro-testing of pipelines on the PRP4, in the Mumbai High, and Daman field development projects off the west coast of India.

The five vessels to be used throughout the campaign in the Mumbai High and Daman fields in the Mumbai Offshore region, include the DP2 purpose-built subsea ubilicals, risers and flowlines vessel, Kreuz Installer, and the dive support and construction work barge, Kreuz Supporter

Kreuz Subsea CEO AJ Jain said: “The waters of Daman field are known for experiencing very high tidal currents and near zero visibility. Being awarded this work to ultimately support ONGC in the region reaffirms our reputation for providing flexible, safe operations, dedicated and experienced personnel, as well as the ability to pass on great value to our clients.”

In November 2017, Kreuz Subsea bolstered its senior management team with the appointment of Phil Bradbury as QHSE director. Bradbury has more than 27 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, and has held quality, health and safety related management roles at DSND, ISS, Harkand and most recently, Rocksalt Subsea.
