AGR appoints new head of well management

AGR, an energy services and software company, has appointed Tore Øian to lead the company’s well management business in Norway.

Øian has over 20 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry and has managed complex drilling projects for major operators including Statoil and Det norske. He has a degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Stavanger and will be based in Stavanger.

“[Øian] is hugely experienced and knows the company well both as a previous client of us and as part of AGR’s integrated well delivery team,” said Svein Sollund, AGR’s Chief Executive. “His immediate priorities in the new role will be to use his decades of experience to further shape a nimble and competitive well management proposition on the Norwegian Continental Shelf combining our flexible contracting models and in-house access to technical skills and software tools covering the entire supply chain of upstream.”
