Senior management changes at Maersk Drilling

Maersk Drilling has announced a shake-up in its senior managerial ranks. 

Lars Ostergaard, currently acting as asset manager in Maersk Drilling, has been appointed the new chief commercial officer. By mutual agreement, Ana Zambelli will leave Maersk Drilling in order to pursue new opportunities. 

Brian Nygaard, currently the head of procurement in Maersk Drilling, has been appointed new head of strategy and partnering.

Ostergaard joined Maersk Group in 2005, and has since held different leadership positions across the Group, most recently as asset manager in Maersk Drilling. He holds a masters of political science, with a specialization in international relations, as well as a graduate diploma in business administration.

Nygaard joined Maersk in 2005, as strategic sourcing manager in group procurement. Since then, he has held various leadership positions across the Maersk Group including heading up the North and South American Sourcing offices.

In 2015, Nygaard joined Maersk Drilling as head of procurement. He holds a law degree from Aarhus University, and worked as an M&A lawyer in a leading Danish law firm. Furthermore, he holds an MBA from IMD Business School.
