RDS wins DSME and Ensco contracts

Rig design engineering firm RDS has been awarded two contracts valued at US $42,000,000 for engineering and design services in the North Sea and a global master services agreement (MSA).

The first contract is for detailed design and follow-on engineering for Statoil’s Mariner platform drilling facilities. The contract is with Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME), which is providing EPC services to Statoil.

DSME has also signed an agreement with RDS for front end engineering design (FEED) of the Bressay platform. The contracts have a commitment period of 29 months and nine months, respectively.

The MSA was awarded by ENSCO Services. RDS is a division of drilling contractor KCA Deutag.
