Oilfield Helping Hands, OilOnline 'Profile Share' extends to June

It isn’t too late to help oilfield families in financial need due to an unexpected life crisis, which can happen to any of us.  This is an opportunity for those in the oil & gas industry to help their own. OilOnline, an integrated oil & gas career, news and networking site, has extended its “Profile Share” donations through the end of June. OilOnline will make a dollar donation for every profile created on its site through the end of June. These donations, along with 25% of company advertising on OilOnline during the months of May and June, will go directly to Oilfield Helping Hands.

The “Profile Share” campaign, which kicked off in May, has realized great success with fundraising and increasing Oilfield Helping Hands’ level of awareness.  Brion Palmer, Atcomedia president said, “We want to keep the momentum going and do as much as possible for an organization that does so much for others. Oilfield Helping Hands has and will make a difference in lives of many oilfield families who have fallen on hard times with a medical or an unforeseen financial crisis. We hope to write a big check in July.”

Gary Brooks, president of Oilfield Helping Hands, commented, “We are excited about the extension of this partnership through the end of June, which shares the Oilfield Helping Hand's mission with additional audiences. This is a great opportunity to get the word out on what we do as an organization to assist oilfield families in a crisis through no fault of their own."

Oilfield Helping Hands got its start in 2003 when several Halliburton Baroid employees organized a sporting clay tournament to help a fellow employee whose family was facing costly medical bills. Since then, the organization hasn’t looked back. Over the past decade, OHH has grown to include 17 corporate members and 1600 private members, while assisting 220 families and distributing more than US$2.4 million in financial aid.  Recently, they started a Rocky Mountain chapter based in Denver and are looking to expand to the Dallas/Fort Worth and Corpus Christi area. For more than a decade, Oilfield Helping Hands has provided crucial financial assistance to industry workers and their families, and continues to work in the most economical fashion to maximize the funds available to recipients each year.
