KBR appoints new CEO

KBR Inc. announced that Stuart Bradie has been named president and CEO of KBR Inc., effective 2 Jun 2014. Bradie succeeds William "Bill" Utt, who is retiring. The company intends for Bradie to become a member of its board of directors when he joins the firm.

Bradie (pictured) has more than 25 years of industry experience and joins KBR from WorleyParsons, where he held the position of group managing director - operations and delivery. In that role, Bradie led the firm's global operations, project delivery and assurance. He was previously managing director responsible for operations in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

Before joining WorleyParsons in 2001, he held managing director and country manager positions with PT Kvaerner Indonesia and Kvaerner Philippines from 1996 to 2001. Bradie has a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Aberdeen University and a MBA from the Edinburgh Business School, Heriot Watt University.

"KBR's board of directors is confident that Stuart is the right leader at the right time for KBR," Loren Carroll, KBR chairman said.

Bradie will join KBR on 2 Jun 2014, and will lead the business from its global headquarters in Houston, Texas.
