Wison Offshore & Marine Ltd. (WOM) successfully completed the installation of the three LNG storage tanks into the hull of the Caribbean FLNG project. The project’s barge deck and topsides will now be installed.

The Caribbean FLNG project, supplied to EXMAR by Wison under an EPCIC contract, will be installed offshore Colombia.  The project started fabrication at the end of 2012 and is planned to be in operation the first quarter of 2015 as the world’s first FLNG vessel. The project is progressing on schedule and is expected to be completed in April 2014.

The combined capacity of the three LNG storage tanks, which were supplied by TGE, is 16,100cu m, with a net weight of approximately 395 tons each. The complete tanks were hoisted by two 400-ton goliath gantry cranes in WOM’s dry dock.
