ViChem increases MHA production

ViChem Specialty Products, LLC, developer of the Multi-Hydroxyl Alcohol (MHA) Drilling Fluid System, announced that it is has increased its production and storage capacity 10 times for MHA base fluid, shale inhibitor, lubricant, and soil stabilizer.

Increased demand by operators accentuated the need for a larger-scaled operation.

“Our MHA system is working exactly as promised for our current customers by providing the performance of an oil-based mud at the cost of a water-based mud,” said Corey Peterson, President and CEO of ViChem.  “We’ve had significant commercial success while operating in start-up mode, and focusing on research and development and formulations.  The time was right to get our blending capacity to levels needed for our future.”

The company expects its new capacity to exceed current and prospective consumer needs, enabling ViChem to grow the eco-drilling fluid business producing a better future for drilling.
